Fire Kevin Barbay

Barbay still didn’t call a great game imo

He called a good first half but got too conservative in the second.

Good enough to win, but the real warriors were the Mad Dog Defense.

Maybe the O will earn the moniker, Mad Cat Offense.

It was pretty conservative, but by the same token TCU made some adjustments, and it might not be terrible to play a little conservative and try to run some clock when you have a three-score lead and your defense has only given up six points.

Probably both, along with things just coming together.

I suspect they simplified their approach this week and focused on doing a few things really well rather than trying to do everything.

Not many. At the level Alabama is, They can replace a knucklehead in a millisecond.

Saban could replace starters with other good players, but he still had his starters.
As for the TCU game, I thought the offensive play calling was very similar to the ISU game, the only difference, no turn overs, no picks, not as many penalties and look, we score 30 points vs zero. Amazing

Well, there was also this little thing of good execution by the QB …

The positive performance with Zeon throwing completions and running for 71 yd TDs I felt was very different.

We also stayed out of 3rd and long and converted a few 3rd downs to keep possession.

Can we rename the title of this thread to something like, “Keep Kevin Barbay… for now… unless we get shut out again”???

Lolol I bet most people still want him gone. I’m riding on the high of a win.

I know TCUs defense sucks and that game was maybe another Rice scenario. I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Until then I’m feeling great.
