UH has had to play 2 virtual road games in their recent NCAA Tournament history, and the Cougars were a #1 seed both times. Remember Auburn in Birmingham and Purdue in Indianapolis? UH won both of those.

Schools don’t hate, people do. I would guess that the vast majority of people today weren’t alive during the 50’s and 60’s and grew up in a desegregated America. I was born in January 1947 and graduated in 1965 from a high school outside of Baton Rouge. I witnessed true racism and what we have today is no way near that. Yes, there will always be some whites that hate blacks and some blacks that hate whites; and there probably always will.
Let’s think about something for a second. The Germans murdered over 12 million people in WWII, six million of which were Jews. Many of our soldiers were killed fighting them. Similarly, we fought the Japanese in the Pacific. Yet today we are friends and the sins of those in charge back then are not transferred to the Germans and Japanese of today – nor should they. So why do we have to keep up the divisive rhetoric of racism today?
Saying you hate a whole group of people because some of them are racists is stupid in my opinion. That would be as stupid as white folks saying they hate all blacks because some of them hate whites or black folks hating all whites for the same reason. Why can’t we let the past bury the past, stop the divisive language, and just get along?
