Florida really scores allot of points. We have got to slow them down and keep up or we are toast. I worry about LJ’s legs having played 40 minutes vs Duke. Need other guys including Uzan and Roberts to score early and often plus need Arcenaux to score off the bench. Looking at the Florida schedule the loss to Tennessee sticks out. Florida shot 24% in that game, turned the ball over 13 times and got out rebounded. But given the rest of the results in the Florida schedule this loss scoring only 44 points vs Tennessee looks like an aberration.
I watched them play in the tournament, particulary Uconn and TxTech. Tech had them on the ropes by dominating in the paint but missed its free throws at end to blow it. Clayton makes some amazing 3 point shots and drives the basket, he looks pretty much unstoppable. We need to contain who we can just to keep it under control. The other guards Martin and Richard score 14/13ppg making about 38% of 3’s and forwards Haugh and Condon also shoot the 3 on occasion. Haugh plays really hard and they each grab 7 boards per game. Florida will be a big challenge!
sure, hope so. At least the Tennessee result shows it can be done. I like our chances but we gotta put the ball in the basket. The team that fills it up the most will win. no surpise there, lol
Hopefully we got any jitters out of the way and don’t start slow. They only have length inside and that length isn’t athletic. Their bigs also don’t shoot FTs well. It comes down to Clayton and Martin. We will get lots of 3pt looks. Need to make them
Pretty much after listening to so many Duke meat lovers, every thing else is blah blah blah. Houston is used to being counted out and many written Coogs off before Duke game started. Florida is a good basketball team. But at this point who cares, coach gets his team ready to play whoever.
