Willie Fritz has destroyed our Football program. :tired_face::tired_face::tired_face:

He’s worse than Holgy & Applewhite. :sob::sob::sob:

Y’all heard he is starting Donovan Smith at QB again.

Expect another 36-7 loss vs Iowa St.

No improvement shown. :-1::-1::-1:

And attendance will be at it’s worse in all time.

Should of hired a young up and coming coach who could of grown up with the program going into the BIG 12.

UH administration has dropped the ball once again with this HIRE!!!

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or you’re being serious. The cupboard was BARE. Terrible recruiting class after terrible recruiting class finally caught up with UH.

Throw in the players transferring out as well as the late hire for recruiting purposes and we are where we are today. I will agree with Mr. Coog and others that I am extremely disappointed with our lack of competiveness in UNLV and Cincinnati games.

We’re not even close.

I think the all time worst attendance since I’ve been a fan was the last game of the 2000 season against Louisville, which had an official attendance of 3,006 in freezing rain. I was not one of them. Only the true die hards were at that one.

I mean UH just joined the Big 12. We all thought attendance was going to take a spike up early on :thinking:

It seems like we’ll be going backwards once UH comes back home.

If you are a long time UH fan, you knew attendance would be high the first year in the B12 and fall off the second year. The football team is struggling and UH fans will not support a losing program. The fan base that supports the team through thick and thin is very small.

Thank our lucky stars for the student attendance this season.

The die hard fan base is still MUCH better than it was in the late 90s and early 2000s when our average attendance for the season was around 13,000. I don’t think we’ve seen one of those games in a long time.

That’s not really true if you look at recruiting rankings. We had two of our best classes in many years in 2022 and 2023 to go along with a pretty strong transfer group. Even 2024 ended up being OK despite the coaching change.

These were all top 50 classes, which was an improvement over our ~70 ranking in most previous years.

Recruiting obviously needs to improve, but it has not been ā€œterribleā€ unless you think we have some divine right to top 20 classes.

The entire team isn’t devoid of talent but it is at qb and the OL. Easy to see why these two areas are holding back any successes this team could have.

Really?

Moreover, how embarrassing the crowd is. Knowing we will sell out Fertitta.

Most of the best players from last season transferred. I’m not sure if that was on their own or because Fritz pushed them out but the team did have some talent last season.

The football attendance isn’t at an all time low. But since we’ve brought up the basketball program it should be pointed out that attendance was at an all time low in CKS’s first year. Give Fritz a few years and he’ll have the ship righted.

Our attendance numbers last year were inflated by Whorn fans who bought season tickets to avoid paying scalper prices for the UT game.

People in Houston have a lot of options on how they spend their entertainment $. Nobody got any enjoyment out of watching the UNLV OR Cincy games. The new AD and Fritz better wake up soon.

Sampson needs to get out there and rip some rear ends.
