He shot a club record 60 to win the SAS Championship on the PGA Champions Tour. His final round consisted of 11 birdies and no bogeys.
On the front 9 he had 5 birdies in a row. On the back 9, he shot 6 birdies in a row.
On the 18th green he flashed the Cougar hand sign to a friend in the gallery.
It was Fred’s first tour win in 5 years.
Pretty impressive to beat your age by 3 shots at 63.
Agreed. When I stopped to think about it for a moment, his round was amazing.
It is well known that Couples doesn’t like to practice. It is also well known that he doesn’t play many tournaments. Essentially, with regards to professional golf, he plays when he wants to play and only when his back isn’t bothering him…
And, yet he scored 11 birdies, no bogies in the final round.
Even in my dreams, I couldn’t shoot that well.
No big deal. I had 11 birdies this year! 
Low - Quit lying. You haven’t had 11 birdies in the last 11 years !
