So who is next to get to 8? Tulane and Memphis? Then you accept UNLV or Nevada and UTSA at smaller shares?

Maybe UTSA and Memphis?

Curious to see the TV deal that results from this. Can they get more than the AAC?

I could see that.

It would probably be a little more than the AAC, so maybe $10M a team. If they go with Apple, maybe $15M.

If you add bowl money, CFP and MM, it could be up to $25M per team.

Also, the Pac-12 already has a TV deal with FOX and CW, which are 2 broadcast networks. All they have to do is extend that to rest of the schools.

I am betting they are going to get UTSA and Memphis to get in the Central time zone.

They may also look at Tulane since they have gotten good at football of late.

I’m not sure which league is better - PAC vs AAC, but the PAC does offer late night games. Both likely become valuable Thursday and Friday night games.

That was just a 1 year deal though wasn’t it?

Yes it is a one year deal nut it can be renegotiated for the extra teams. If they can keep those 2 broadcast networks, they are in good shape.

What’s funny is that the PAC12 member schools all have “State” in their names. They might as well add Texas State University.

The Pac-12 conference is changing it’s name to the Allstate conference.

This was the only logical conclusion, reformulation of the PAC. Oregon Washington had no place to go. Playing on the cache of the PAC brand to rope in new conference mates.

$187 million buy out?
What exactly is $___ they feel confident in.
Could be similar to MWC deal with boatload of Paramount of similar.

With most long trips gone from Dakotas.
MWC could look at FCS powerhouse call ups.
Maybe Montanas.
Low ceiling but the whole states will watch them in FBS.

Lol, the MWC has no other choice but to call up FCS schools.

Memphis probably considers the PAC a lateral move at best. A bunch of west coast teams with uncertain media deal. Might as well stay in AAC and go for the Playoff spot.

Year 2 late to avoid $5 million FBS membership fee.
It was just $5k.

$11 million soon?

Did new PAC even consider them ?
Looks like a OG regional conference by design.
I would say Apple TV but dead weight but Apple footprint schools like San Jose would be in that.

They’ll probably get to the AAC schools in a few months.

They really need to get in the Central timezone for a better TV deal.
