Something I saw on social media.
Should Wazzu and Oregon State, the last two members of their “conference,” be called the 2PAC?

Did Jada Pinkett Smith come up with this name?!?!?
“That leaves Notre Dame, UConn, and UMass as the only remaining three independent programs for the 2024 campaign.”
Article behind paywall. The gist of it.
OK, so it looks like the Washington Supreme Court has put the PAC-2’s injunction on hold, which will prevent them from taking all of the PAC’s dough.

So now what?
Are the PAC-2 now effectively left in limbo…or are they relegated to the G5 (MWC)?
So much for that power play.
They must think that $ is coming at some point.
“Washington State and Washington have also agreed in principle to extend the Apple Cup rivalry through at least 2028 as the Huskies move to the Big Ten in 2024.”
All games at Seahawks ? What is the $ ?
official
They want to see if they have a claim to the vacated PAC money.
Smart move by them.
FSU at it again

The ACC schitt is now OFFICIALLY hitting the fan!
We’ll see where this goes.
STAY TUNED!!!
Only thing hitting the fan is $100 bills which FSU will have to pay the ramining ACC schools, through 2036!
We will see, nothing is settled until it’s all over. Did all of the PAC12 teams have to pay Wazzou or Ore St?
The PAC12 was so arrogant and sure no one would leave the conference so they never included exit fees in their By-laws.
I believe the exit fees for the ACC equals 3 years of conference payouts.
PAC-12 had exit fees that are only in force until the end of the TV contract. TV contract expires at the end of the 2023-24 season. All movement out of the conference is set to happen at the start of the 2024-25 season. Since there is no TV contract past 2023-24, there are no exit fees to leave afterwards.
Personally I think that our Big 12 needs football teams in The Eastern Time Zone.
WVU and Cincinnati sit by themselves and UCF sits absolutely alone.
And there simply are more eyeballs in that time zone than exist in any other.
FSU, schools in Virginia and North Carolina, plus Pitt/Louisville give our Big 12 tremendous new, heavily populated markets.
Let’s look at a 24 team Super Conference, with an Eastern and Western divisions whose winners meet in The Big 24 Title Game.
Go ahead and go back Utah. A lot of us never wanted you anyway.
More than likely he’s talking about Cal and Stanford being unhappy but those 2 schools are stuck in a GOR until 2036. The only GOR that’s coming available in a couple of years is the MWC where OSU will fit perfectly.
