huber?

The less said about that guy the better.

The dude couldn’t teach his way out of a hole.

Trust me. @Lawbert and I both had him for Contracts, and I also had him for Administrative Law. In the latter class, I’d swear I didn’t learn a single thing the entire semester (seriously!!!).

The fact that he was also militantly anti-athletics is just the icing on the cake.

Another day/week/month passes and the blue blood ACC lawyers, working 24-7 , have yet to find the fine print to get their clients out of the ACC GOR!

Army could literally go to the NY6 every year in the AAC if they worked at it.

Good addition for the AAC…the Service Academies are horrible selections for the Power Conferences

Another week passes…those lawyers must be HARD AT WORK finding that fine print!

Imagine all of the billable hours they are racking up to get out of that GOR.

Now we just need resolution for the Pac 2.

Nothing at all resolved w PAC but they do have a scheduling agreement with MWC for 24.

I heard that on a Youtube show. Monte or Triple Option, etc ?
Made that assumption before the contract is signed ?

I hadn’t heard that they had reached an agreement, only that they were negotiating.

Has that changed?

This is what I’ve heard.

They probably don’t want to formally join another conference until the legal issues are resolved since they are set to get all of the remaining monies owed to the PAC

I think you are correct. If they join the MWC, they automatically become G5 schools but maybe they can negotiate with the CFP to maintain their P4 status as independents.

Although the NCAA by-laws specifies who is A5, that has nothing to do with the by-laws of the CFP. If the CFP considers you as an independent P4, then you will be paid CFP money similar to Notre Dame.

In other words, the Pac2 will be negotiating eith the CFP.

This is from Memphis but we know anything from them is usually fake news. Let’s see if the national media confirms it.

This would be a lateral move for VCU. The A10 is a 2-bid league. It has schools in major markets like Chicago, Saint Louis, NYC, Philly, DC, Pittsburgh and Boston. It also has rival schools in VCU’s region with GW, Richmond, Davidson and George Mason.

The only way VCU makes this move is if they think the football conferences are about to break away from the NCAA and form their own postseason for basketball.

Or if they think the Big East is about to raid the A10.

From here.

VCU getting $235k per year now + tourney credit share.

Seems so low w A10 on multiple broadcasters

IF Army gets SMU football share of 70%.
VCU 30% is @ $2 million.

Less seems realistic under circumstances but it still beats A10 deal.

FWIW
Dayton and St Louis mentioned as Big East adds from A10 on next TV deal.
