Sweet… we actually play again!
Holy Toledo
That was a really good interview. He had some strong praise for LJ.
It’s game day!
Coogs fav by 29.5.
Scouting the Rockets:
If the attendance is above 5,000 for Toledo vs Houston, I will be happy.
Rockets are expected to be without Alpe Sengun, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith, …
Things happen, but 29.5 feels like easy money against a team that (1) lost to Troy by 10, (2) is 214 in KenPom, (3) is 340 (out of 364) in KenPom defensive rating, (4) has two 30+ point losses to UC San Diego and Oakland, and (5) is playing us at Fertitta. CKS is going to have to work hard to keep this from being a 40+ point blowout. I’m really hoping we see 20 minutes from Mercy tonight.
I wish we could get decent non conference home games like some of the other top schools do.
The good news is we are guaranteed sellouts regardless if folks show up or not.
It is really annoying that we can’t get at least 1 P4 OOC match a year at home. We got in the Big12/Big East thing and they gave us Butler. I think that is over now too.
feel like we’ve had some pretty long gaps between games this year. im ready for some action!
Probably due to FC being small. Those teams will only plays us at Toyota Center.
Similar to football. SEC teams will probably only be willing to play us at NRG. TDECU too small.
I recently watched Toledo vs Youngstown State.
Toledo is tough and takes pretty good care of the ball. Good length and plus athleticism for a MAC squad. They do play hard.
Some of their guards are not particularly skilled with their shot. But they will battle and finish in traffic, and they will suprise you at times with some unexpected length and athleticism.
Didn’t appear to have a whole bunch of knock down shooters though.
Obviously, i expect Houston to win by 30+
Was it at home or at Butler?
This isnt football, I doubt anyone cares about how big our arena is, it isn’t like Michigan or most other P4’s outside of Texas are gonna bring 1500 people for a Tuesday game in November.
We played Butler here last week. We were at Xaivier last year
