Game 14: #8 Houston @ Cincinnati (W 67-60)

There is only one kind of chili. Texas Red. Everything else needs a qualifier. i.e. “Skyline” or “Green” or “With Beans” or “Chicken” or “Pork” or “Rice” or whatever.

HWSCoog’s observation that we held them scoreless for almost the final 4 minutes is big!

Sampson’s defense crushed them down the stretch. As we often see.

Kudos to Sakho! He had 6 points and provided valuable minutes off the bench.

Walker continues to kill it off the bench. So far a candidate for Sixth Man of The Year.

Another good history lesson

Most circled team on every calendar!

Cincinnati had three crucial turnovers late. Credit UH’s defense. Game, set, match, UH.

Jizzle fizzle

I hope this was the game that snapped Milos out of his funk…

He hasn’t been in a funk against the non buy game teams. Not as good shooting percentage as last year but in these higher comp games ahiiitng close 40% from 3 and double figure scoring

I’ve heard the correlation…

But he needs to be consistently good moving forward… that’s probably the better thing to say…

Hopefully, he’s more consistent moving forward.

Milos plays and shoots better when he is aggressive and hunts for his shots. With Sharp sitting he knew we needed him and thank goodness he was ready.

Chile con carne. The original.

Big key for our late win was Tugler getting down low on offense. He got 3 to 4 offensive boards in the last few minutes and that made all of the difference. He stifles our offense when he stands at the top of the key. He doesn’t do well at reading the defenses and just clogs up driving/passing lanes. The guards started directing him to roll in and it resulted in him being in prime position to do what he does best.

@Tyler_Perry Important question for you. How many points have the COOGS scored in 3 of their last 4 games vs. Cincinnati? Phone a friend if you need to.

Guys that see him in the paint go somewhere else- if they’re smart.

Chatterbox guys

Wes Miller is now 9-42 in Quad 1 games at Cincinnati

It really sad how far Cincy has declined over the years… this should always be a Quad 1 game for us… now it is a Quad 2. :frowning:

Maybe wkrp will improve as the season progresses.

If you need a crisis line I have a direct one to 1-800-rotgut

I can’t imagine drinking gin even in a nightmare. You’re moving up the power ranking on sheer rote courage.
