But seriously, Hill was attending games at The Roach and Rat Pavilion when 300 were there. He gets his fraternity brothers to buy dozens of football season tickets. His baseball clap was famous.
You can yell at Hill for lots of stuff like he stinks, his wife likes Bud Light, he bogarts his cigs, but he can’t be attacked for not attending UH sports.
Milos has committed a total of ONE turnover in the last 3 games. Insane for someone that is on the floor being the primary ball handler for 30+ minutes
Extremely happy for Ja’vier. Dude was money. 6-6 from the line. He was awesome and that’s not superlative enough. I hope this is a rebirth for that young man after his injury. Would be huge for the coogs with Feb-March around the corner.
Amazing how posters react to 1 game. Like Cryer never is good against good teams or when we need him or against this type of guard, blah, blah, blah. He is our leading scorer. Occasionally the shots don’t fall. This is the same guy who averaged 21.3 pts in
our 3 losses, including 30 vs Alabama. Sometimes, especially outside shooters, have off games. It happens.
Sometimes players just blossom in one game. If you look back at all the great Coogs you could probably remember that game where you went, “dayum! I didn’t realize he could do that!”
This might have been that moment. The other night I thought that about Roberts handling the ball at the arc. Maybe both of these guys decided to amp their games in the same week.
Many, many years ago, sometime after Hofheinz Pavilion opened, (and during those years, I was a regular, sitting across from the UH bench in GA section, about 7 or 8 rows up) the games were always entertainng and competitive (we did not have all the info and game prep we have available today) I got so into the games that I began to think I might die of a heart attack during a game. After CGVL left, my attendance waned. I’ve been back since games at TSU and have become “invested” again. Watching todays game, I again thought "what a way to die, being entertained and excited to the point of total involvement. Games like this one are truly worth the price of admission.strong text
