Game 23: #5 Houston @ Colorado (W 69-59)

There is a good chance we might see more Big 12 action for Mercy on Saturday.

If Walker is not returning it would seem necessary to give Miller some minutes.

If he stays healthy TA will be a first round pick.

Uzan
Sharp
Arceneaux
Cenac
Tugler

Would this lineup next year with Harwell and Flemings coming in off the bench beat our current lineup this year?

Miller’s effort in the short time he played Saturday was not impressive and Sampson went savage on him when he came out of the game.
IDK but boot camp has not been friendly to Mercy.
He has not played well since he got yanked against Alabama.
Hope he is tough and sticks it out.

Eventually yes I agree. Tuggler could be a lottery pick. But both of them aren’t ready yet. They need another year (maybe two) in the Sampson lab.

They are similar to Shead and Sasser. You can see it but it needs work. They have incredible upside.

That’s why I was pointing to next year.
But I really believe if TA gets hot and plays well the rest of the year we can go deep at the Dance.
He can be a huge difference maker.
Tug absolutely needs to drum up some offensive skills.
With his body he should be a terror inside going to the rim

Yes, he will play on Saturday.

I will still favor Miller to be the 2nd guard in that rotation.

Colorado looks like an easy win with 11 losses in Big 12. However, how did they beat UCONN? It’s not that they can’t play well, the must have to beat UCONN. So, they have it in them, especially at home, to give us their best. They will give us their best. Everyone does.

I’m hoping for a beat down but I’m truly leery of any team that has an impressive win on a neutral court.

Eh Colorado is on the verge of losing every single one of their B12 conference games this year. 0-5 at home in conference play and riding an 11 game losing streak. Their season is basically toast I don’t even know if their fans are still showing up for games I know none of our fans would show up for a team playing like that. This game is an absolute blessing being right before our big Monday showdown against Baylor. Jump on them early, hopefully limit the minutes of our starters, more rest for Sharp, no excuses in this one.

Apparently Duke didn’t get the memo.

He already confirmed around the time he broke the news about last game. He said he will be ready with caveat that the Dr could always force it. I’d say he was accurate. I am guessing he is one of Francis’ friends…

I don’t think we get both Arceneaux and Tugler back. TA possibly, Jojo projecting in the low 30s on a lot of mock drafts. BUT, if we do somehow get them back, along with the freshmen, that might be your preseason #1.

JoJo needs to develop his jump shots to be considered as a forward in the NBA. Same for J’wan. No jump shot threat no NBA offers at 6’8"

Just my opinions.

I don’t think TV gives a damn.

Totally agree. He is crazy athletic and long but he needs some offensive game.

TA isn’t getting drafted as a 6th man scoring 10 points a game. He needs at least a year being the guy.

Both of those guys could be great, the potential is there.

TA has a chance to come back and be THE guy starting with Uzan and Sharp.
Jojo has a chance to return and be a go-to option in the blocks.
