Broadly speaking, Jefferson is scuffling right now. But Lipsey has been spry and his game is back on the rise. He’s gonna play well at home in this spot. You see, there’s regular ol’ hobbled Lipsey who can be a little disinterested at times, always nursing something, trying to stay on the court. Kind of picking his spots and settling for open bricks in questionable rhythm…and then there’s relatively healthy, laser-focused, SOB Lipsey. Two completely different players.
He looks very underwhelming to ppl on average who don’t understand that. I think he might sneak up a little on ya’ll tonight and you’ll be glad he’s gone.
Buchanan has been awesome. Batemon and Pleta are ballin’ all of a sudden. Heise will hit open 3s now.
Touré has been about the same but I feel good about him too right now. Maybe still a bit of a freshman mixed bag. But he’s shown he can score when called upon in Vegas and Purdue tho…scoring 20, 19, and 13, respectively. He’s an underrated raw athlete who is a better shooter than his numbers suggest. Trust me, I questioned his shot. Both him and Lipsey will knock em down when it matters, for the most part.
Bit of a pick your poison situation for the Coogs tonight. ISU shares the sugar at the best rate in the Big 12. The Clones rarely force the issue.
A big key for you guys is Jefferson has been down and very turnover prone, so you need to keep him down. He’s the one guy who will force it when it’s not there in very bad ways. Lipsey will force the issue too, but it’s almost always a postive. He’s a SOB like that.
The Coogs are better equipped to snuff out Jefferson than most, he can struggle with atheltic length. He’s a plus athelte but not very springy and not terribly explosive in raw terms. Staying out of foul trouble is key because I think he’ll struggle with Snacks and Jojo. I think he can probably get Sahko on a bit of a string despite his raw tools. He is supremely crafty and always a threat to drop a cookie dime.
As far as Momcilovic goes, walking bucket. No surprise to ya’ll tho. Good luck there.
You’re an honest, humble man. I would’ve thought Sharp on AJ. In no world, did I expect Cenac haha. But I agree with this one. I’d see Sharp on Mom as well
If Jojo can stay on the court for significant minutes then I like our chances. If the game is called tight then advantage ISU. Also, hoping Flemings gets out of his mini shooting slump to ball out in Big Monday showdown
Went 10 years ago to Davenport for Inventory count, I believe that’s where the Taco Pizza originated. Quad Cities minor league team was the Houston Astros affiliate at the time as well…
3 losses likely gets a least a tie for the regular season title. If ISU loses tonight, especially considering their remaining schedule, they are pretty much done. UH needs to find a way to win 1 of the next 3.
