Cyclone fan and I come in peace. Ever since UH joined the Big 12, this has been one of my favorite matchups. Love the tenacity that the Coogs play with and have tons of respect for Sampson and what he’s done for UH basketball.
Looking forward to the rock fight and hopefully everyone comes away healthy. Go Cyclones!

The only point thing I’d comment on is he said he was “not sure” if ISU doubled the post last year.
That’s all good, not a problem. Not like he’s lying or anything. But I do find that at least somewhat hard to believe.
Lead assistant Kyle Green is the architect of ISU’s defense from Day 1, and the baseline post trap has been his calling card back to his days at Northern Iowa.
As CKS has pointed out, it is very similar to your monster, except ISU traps from the baseline and tags all possible same side outlets, as opposed to UH who brings the post trap “from the middle” (again, CKS’s words, not mine)
Sort of a distinction without a difference, other than the weakside corner is left a little more exposed by design. They will cover 2 the weak side. ISU is daring people to make the long true skip pass.
It leaves ISU a little less vulnerable to backcuts and high-low actions that can lead to subsequent foul trouble, whereas UH is far less vulnerable to the wide open weakside 3 that is usually ISU’s downfall when they go in.
But both teams play with great hands, pressure, and free safety defense that make these seemingly easy passes very difficult.
