The old Arizona two-step. Knocking off the Cats in their house was clearly the much harder task on paper. By the usual logic AZ St is set up to be a letdown/trap game. But Coach K (the real Coach K, sorry Dookies) has never let us have that kind of letdown in my memory so while nothing is guaranteed I am confident we’ll give the Sun Devils the respect they deserve, and if we play to our potential we should get it done.
I’ll be there watching!!
Sundevils home unis pink on black ?
Tight game ASU down 3 to TCU with 53secs to go
100% agree.
Further, if we have to go 1-1 in Arizona this week, even then, we picked the right one to win.
But yup, now it’s time to get greedy! Go Coogs!
TCU beats ASU 74-70… a wild ending in the last minute with missed FTs and inbound violation by ASU
The frogs go hard in the last five minutes.
Watched ASU vs TCU and will probably rewatch it b4 our game and these are my quick thoughts:
Athletic, Tall, Fast
Young, Undisciplined, Out of Control Play
Feeling good about Tuesday game ![]()
That’s what she said. They are, after all, h—ny toads.,)
You gotta hand it to Izzo. After all these years he keeps putting his team in the mix. Michigan State a quiet #10 in the country.
These are the games that make me nervous.
UH can easily undo Saturday’s win against Arizona with a loss to Arizona St.
Respect your opponent.
The good thing is we’re established enough that our good wins count for more than our losses
A CKS team respects every opponent whether it is PVAMU or Arizona State. Now fans otoh are in their own world.
Better set your DVRs to record ESPNNEWS as well as ESPN2 on Tuesday. Only ESPN thinks a college game will finish in 2 hours. There was less than a minute left in the first half of the Syracuse-UNC game by the time they cut over from Alabama-auburn.
They should do two and a half hour time slots
Two hours was a good time. Even with the last minute fouls, you could finish in two hours. But now, we have reviews by the officials whether or not to put 2 tenths of a second on the clock, whether the 30 second shot clock expired, whether a foul is a flagrant foul or not. It all adds up.
I mostly agree.
But - aside from looking only at our W-L numbers with blinders on - handing a loss to AZ is (at least in the grand scheme) a tad more valuable than putting a loss on ASU given each’s location in the current standings
So I don’t think a loss on Tuesday would “completely” undo this win over AZ. And if you could only choose to win one of these 2 in Arizona, I contend we chose the right one.
Of course, what you say is still 100% the way to approach it for the team. And yup, I think it would feel like a complete wash at this point if we were to lose Tuesday. So - I agree - let’s keep winning!
