The Colorado Coach begs to differ
Milos was both aggressive, driving more to the basket, as well as shooting midrange shots. His outside 3pts shots were also hot⊠overall he looked confident and assertive handing out assists without turnovers
Call me silly or naive but I am not 100% that Flemmings and Cenac both leave. Of the two, Flemmings seems like he has the best chance to catch on with an NBA team. Cenac does not have the bulk to mix it up with most college players, so he relies on finesse. That will not work in the NBA. Also, review who from Houston left early and made it to the NBA, and the ones who did not? Are there any early exits playing in the NBA and I am not counting minor league teams. Then consider the players who stayed an extra year and made it, like Sasser, Shead, and Grimes. Each of whom are playing in the NBA. Itâs compelling.
i mean whenâs the last time we didnât âlose a lotâ
Playing in Waco in January we got off 74 shots to their 41 and beat them by 22.
They had a 10point advantage in FTâs or it would have been a likely 30 point win.
Now we have them at home. We just played super well on Saturday. We are aiming for a Top March Madness seed.
I am guessing this wonât be close. A 25 to 30 point win and every single Cougar player able and eligible to play will play.
Uh last year? Everyone came back except Shead, how quickly we forget
Dude! Him getting tossed was hilarious!! (Btw; I think he did it on purpose.)
Thanks Mike. I thought that was the case but Iâm not a good observer of the portal or recruiting. I thought there might already be five in the fold coming from outside.
In regards to Cenac going pro I think he will go high. Maybe the top ten. But I ainât an NBA scout.
Last, Baylorâs coach is excellent. This has to be one of the most improbable falls from the top that I have seen from a top tier coach. I think Boeheim had a similar fall but too lazy to look it up.
Without going to google, Jarace Walker comes to mind I guess. Yeah they both 100% leave, especially if we make a run in the tournament. You donât want to gamble with your draft stock if itâs already high.
Youâre silly and naive (you asked for it). Cenac and Flemings will be high draft picks.
What time does the senior recognition stuff get started tomorrow?
Just a guess, but I would guess 7:30. You never know what to expect on senior day, sometimes they are on fire and sometimes lost in nostalgia.
This conference is maniacal. How does Baylor beat a UCF squad in Orlando that just came off a legendary hammering?
There was a betting theory back in the 80âs that you always bet against a team playing on six days rest after playing Oklahoma in football. The theory was that teams were so tired and banged up after OU that they caved in the second half.
I think thatâs partially true in B12 basketball. Itâs hard to stay primed when youâre playing at this level every night. Even after you win.
Senior Ceremony
Arrive at your seats by 7:40 p.m. and join us as we celebrate our University of Houstonâs Menâs Basketball 2026 seniors!
I have a love/hate relationship with Senior Night. I love celebrating the UH career of these young men. If theyâve been at UH their whole college career, it is even more special, as they have demonstrated their loyalty to the coaches and university and resisted the temptation to move on. I am sure it will be very emotional for Sharp and Walker, UHâs senior statesmen.
I hate Senior Night because it is the last time the fans will see these players play a home game at Fertitta Center. And Iâm sorry, Forever Coogs does not count.
I plan on getting to Fertitta Center to enjoy the celebration.
Itâs game day!

I guess we will continue to see tonight Coach Sampsonâs management of Tuglerâs propensity to foul, giving him a short lease until he needs to benched. It is clear that Tugler cannot stay aggressive without fouling, so Coach is managing it the best way he knows how. I do not agree with the suggestion to start Sakho and have Tugler coming off the bench.
Get smart:
