depending on what happens tomorrow we might be able to torpedoes baylor’s at large chances
Terrible start time
It’s good practice for the NCAA Tournament.
I love the start time. MOFO semi pro league with teams from Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Tomball play on Saturday’s. One of the teams that is located from southern Houston down to Edna along 59 plays their games in my hometown. I annouce the games and do the dj music also. Last Saturday was my 1st time doing both. For the most part it was easy. I was even coaching up someone doing our playclock in the booth beside me.
Baylor start time at 9:00 allows my game from 6:30 to finish so I can watch the whole UH game.
My old man @3outof4aintbad went to our 16-0 win last week over the Capital City Bison. No band and cheerleaders makes the music even more important.
I did the color commentary in Jerry’s world for our 1st state championship this year. I’ve been doing the PA for our hs for 6 years. My play by play guy does the radio ads for Schoppa Farm Equipment.
Win this game and we finish the season undefeated away in the B12. That is mind-bendingly impressive. How often has that even happened in conference history?
Kansas went undefeated one year so at least one other time…
Kansas back in 19-20
Oh wow that’s incredibly impressive. Also highlights how far they’ve fallen to just north of .500 in the B12 this season.
After watching Kansas in person last night I don’t think there is any doubt the Jayhawks have a lot of talent. I don’t know what their problems have been this season but I suspect lack of team chemistry or perhaps problems in the locker room.
But last night they were nails on defense and shot the ball well. Granted we did not shoot very well, but KU’s defense perhaps had a little to do with that.
I suspect if Bill Self can keep his team playing like they did here last night the Jayhawks can make noise in the Big 12 tourney and perhaps the Big Dance.
It’s the same deal again. Baylor has the tools. We just keep doing our thing and we’re good.
KU #6 defense in country
They looked like maybe the best defense we’ve faced this season. In particular, Adams did a great job of locking up Roberts.
FIFY
Once again the FT disparity was significant. During a good part of the 2nd half, Kansas had attempted 10-11 more FTs than we had. The differential was reduced at the end because they had to keep fouling to get us in the bonus
ESPN announcers for the UH vs Baylor game are Roxy Bernstein, PxP, and Sean Farnham, Analyst.
Don’t forget. Game time is 9:00 PM CST.
A late start on the eve of Daylight Savings. I see a Sunday afternoon nap in my future.
The officiating had me fuming. Many missed opportunities to pull away due to calls.
Is anybody making the trip up? Our family of 4 is driving up Saturday morning.
I haven’t watched Baylor lately. Are they still filling their stadium?
