Game 33: #17 BYU vs #2 Houston; Friday - Big XII Tournament (W 74-54)

Not this year

Hahaha

And the conference and KC just lost a TON of money with ISU’s exit. I was there last year to see the massive influx of ISU fans filling hotel rooms and bars as each day passed. KU fans are largely local.

So, is healing by him playing or does it have a negative affect on the healing process?

I think its healing either way but there’s a point where you’re tired of vacation and you wanna go back to work

1886 Humble Backyard watch party tomorrow.

in the ncaa tournament i think we kill byu
but im not sure with the context of this game. the key to beating byu is intensity and toughness
make their shooters fell uncomfortable for 40 minutes straight
the issue in this context, is do we sell out on intensity
with injury risk for the tournament, and worry about tired legs with a game the very next day

i know this board enough to know i will get a bunch of indoctrinated responses of how we bring the intensity and toughness 100% every game, ignoring that we didnt really bring the intensity vs Colorado just a few hours ago

We spent an hour after the game talking about how we didn’t bring the intensity and 95% of people agreed.

Man, I hope BYU gets to the point where I can be that confident in my team winning against a team on an 8 game winning streak with 6 of the wings being tournament teams, and three of them being Q1a games.

If I said something like that it’d be coping.

Shows how far ahead Houston is ahead of byu.

That is the same old crap we hear over and over
we don’t need to win against Baylor, we don’t need to win against Colorado, we don’t need to win against BYU
 the games not imporant
SCREW THAT. Didn’t you hear the announcer today
.That’s not Kelvin Sampson. They are going to play to win every game
If Duke loses, UH could end the year #1
So we want to win, not say, “if the guys want to plan and Kelvin wants to give them an opportunity
” So dumb, the team works their butts off year, here is a chance to be #1 team in the Nation, and you want them to give up tomorrow because game is not important? Idiotic

BYU was 18 of 36 from 3-pt land today. That’s 54 points right there.

Auburn is number 1, nobody cares what the AP voters say.

Anything can happen tomorrow (it doesn’t matter) but Houston defense usually does well vs nba style Golden State offenses. Many teams have been on a hot 3 point shooting streak. Then they play us.

No, you said they didn’t care, not that they played 100%. There is a difference. In game one of three in a row, you can play Mercy extended minutes and not play with 100% intensity and still win against a team like Colorado.

Cks subbed TA for Eman before the 16 minute timeout. He never ever does that unless foul trouble and it wasn’t that. Mercy was in very early first half. The rotation changed out of necessity with Uzzan foul trouble and Jwan ankle from there but early subs suggested cks is prioritizing health.

I definitely expect a Houston win

I don’t think I said “didn’t care,” if I did it was in the context of as compared to a regular season game. I don’t think they had the same intensity. It’s natural. You don’t have the same intensity in game 20 of the MLB regular season as you do game 7 of a playoff series.

Our fans feel the same way, 99% of posts are health over wins.

Maybe a better analogy. I will be rooting for the coogs to win tomorrow. If we lose, I won’t be 1/100000th as unhappy as I was when we lost our 1 conference regular season game, if we exit the game fully healthy.

You said they aren’t taking it seriously. Maybe they didn’t play 100% against Colorado but I think that they still wat to win all three games.
