Ah okay, I didn’t catch that the poster was blaming Jojo and not the ref. Jojo didn’t do anything wrong.
I think we are 4-4 when opponents scored over 65.
28-0 when they score at or below 65.
Dude, I think he made 90% of the foul calls tonight. Every time there was a play in the paint he was just waiting to blow his whistle…
It’s genuinely infuriating. He was the ref in the Alabama loss and San Diego State loss this year, too, both games where he gave our opponents game-tying free throws on phantom fouls. I swear that bum has a bone to pick with us.
I was just watching highlights… at end of game when Francis blocked shot, battle traveled… he lost ball and when he picked it up, his back pivot foot kept sliding… ref missed it…
I moved from where i originally sat n ended up around bunch Drake fans. They were very complimentary of us n how we play.
Took literally a minimum of 5 steps there and they let it slide. Uzan also arguably got fouled on his turnover and both fouls on Ike in the last minute were super weak. It wasn’t as blatant as the last 2 minutes in regulation against A&M last year, but the refs were very obviously trying to make it close again.
all the replays of those vegas games got deleted from youtube months ago but the one thing that stuck out to me there was when they changed a pretty clear cryer 3 to a 2 against sdsu
That game was criminal. They shot 17 free throws to our 1 at one point in the 2nd half. They let them do literally anything they wanted on defense while called us for every single touch foul. Same thing in the 2nd half of the Tech game. Just once I’d like a 2nd half called evenly lol
not sure the constant 2nd half discrepancies come from our defense being stigmatized over the years but if we’re lucky enough to get a game where its just moderately even we might win by 30 if we get shotmaking as good as tonights
This was the same idiot that gifted Bama a win?
Yup, called a foul when the Bama guy simply fell down on their last possession. He’s ALSO the one who called the foul on Sharp with 14 seconds left against SD State when Byrd just fell down because he was off-balance.
One stat that sticks out…Gonzaga never had the lead!
Today was a good day, for UH basketball
This was a game of adjustments like no other. Gonzaga’s HC and staff adjusted and they came close, very close but you know what makes CKS and his staff special? They never lost the “plot” Not only was this close but I think this win will help us tremendously.
Mr. Tugler had a fantastic game. He was the X factor for me. He stepped up like we have rarely seen him do. This was a “key” game for him. Even though he made another stupid foul we can all praise Mr. Tugler for this game. There ought to be more of these from him.
Pivotal win for us.
Sweet 16s should never be discontinued. You think about the teams who had good/great seasons that didn’t make a Sweet 16
*St Johns (31-5)
*Wisconsin (27-10)
*Gonzaga (26-9)
*Creighton (25-11)
*Texas A&M (23-11)
*UCLA (23-11)
*Clemson (27-7)
And tomorrow one of (Kentucky/Illinois, Ole Miss/Iowa State, Oregon/Arizona) will be added to this list
A&M had the talent & experience to make a Sweet 16. But didn’t execute
