It’s partly because of the SEC and the recency bias of Tennessee man handling UK after losing the two reg season matchups combined with us struggling in our game as the heavy favorite.

Jojo didn’t make dumb fouls though. He was on the wrong side of two of those fouls from poor officiating.

There’s a fine line between an elite defender such as JoJo and a poor/tight whistle. Jojo certainly has his bonehead games, but he is also (at least in my IMO) a victim of not being a household name among the talking heads covering college basketball. He is the third highest ranked player in EvanMiya’s BPR behind Cooper Flagg and Johni Broome. Do you think JoJo is going to get the benefit of the doubt on defending versus two PotY candidates? In most cases, no.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in Tennessees great performance Friday. They were playing a heated rival for the third time that had beaten them twice. It would be like us playing Tech in the tournament. Very familiar. Barnes just found some stuff that worked. That was chess, tomorrow will be checkers.

He just needs to keep his arms straight up in the post. No need to reach over people or go horizontal on their way up. He needs to trust in his ability to recover once he sees them jumping. He’s twitchy enough to recover. Seen it multiple times this year.
