I thought the same thing. If the plan was to foul Roberts if the FT was missed, that was accomplished with the minimum clock spent.
Obviously Duke wanted to make the FTs, or get a clean rebound if possible, but next best option was zero clock spent to send Roberts to a 1-and-1.

I was pretty much down in the dumps watching the Duke fans celebrate.
Of course you always hope you can still win the game but to be honest I had lost hope until Sharp hit that step back Trey.
One of the great tourney comebacks and so happy this old man was able to be there.

Except this isnât true. Biggest 2nd half comeback was 15 by Loyola Chicago in 1963. It was the 5th overall. Largest was 22 by Duke in 2001 but that was a 1st half deficit.
