The reason they got there isnāt lost on Duke coach Jon Scheyer, who said after the game: āI mean, theyāre never going to stop. So my messaging throughout the whole way with the team was, understand this team doesnāt go away. So no lead is safe with them.ā

I was a student at UH during the fateful 83 and 84 years.
When we got down by 14, i admit i started to feel that old dejected feeling. Tomorrow night is gonna be tough for us old Coogsā¦thanks for hanging out with us.

The UH vs Duke game could very well be Dukeās version of the North Carolina St. vs UH game in 1983. Most national pundits viewed Duke as having superior talent. It is unthinkable for a team that talented to lose. I think this loss for Duke will be remembered for a long time. Conversely, this win by UH will also be remembered for a long time.

This Duke team is good but not PSJ good, imo.
That NC St team lost lost double digit games playing in ACC, was a double digit seed and not ranked, iirc.
This Houston team lost four games (3 in OT) won the Big XII, was a one seed and ranked #3.
1983 game was an epic upset. Last night not so much.
