2-2 going to the 8th. We’re up to our usual. Guy on 3rd with no outs, bases loaded with 1 out, both times we get nothing.

HBU wins 3-2.

Turning point in the game was when a freshman pinch runner that wouldn’t take a proper lead and is either really slow or wasn’t hustling was thrown out at the plate on a ball that was hit deep into the corner. Absolutely no reason we shouldn’t have scored there.

UH needs to get something out of somebody not named Wong, Padgett, or Davis.

Reminder of last year’s team last night. Runners in position, but couldn’t score. 4th or 5th we get a leadoff triple from Julks and he’s thrown out at home and then load the bases with one out and two straight Ks.

It’s early, it’s a mid week game, but it’s a bit of a concern.

Is only one game and UH lost by 1 run. There is no such thing as an easy win in college baseball.

A champion wins those games. Period.

Poor base running costs us a couple of runs.

I am surprised by the lack of home runs.

We did look like last year. No hitting in the clutch although the centerfielder robbed Padgett for the last out.

Well, that’s it - time to shut it down. No point in playing the rest of 'em.

A quitter I see.

That whooshing sound …
