Silver Lining: Mizzou is 5-1 so far and we faced their ace who was one of the top JUCO pitchers last year. As far as HBU, we shouldnât lose to them, but we did face their ace.
Negatives: Our clutch hitting is having problems again this season, but not sure how to fix that. Maybe put the runners in motion more to try to create more chaos, but weâve had a lot of runners thrown out on the basepaths as well. Could also just be the young guys and trying to figure out where everyone fits in the lineup. Also doesnât help that Davis and Julks have yet to get going; Davis did get 2 hits yesterday. Lastly, we continue to kill ourselves in the field as Romero may be one of the worst fielding pitchers around. Also doesnât bode well when Wong allows passed balls in critical situations as thatâs why they eventually had to move him to RF last year.
Still, itâs early. Coogs need to come back and win the next two.
