Great game. The wrong tigers win (daughter is a senior at Mizzou). But the overall experience was great. Helped that the weather was 55 at kickoff.
Side note, upper deck 300’s had bathrooms, with AC/heat!
Also everyone in the 300’s section got free unlimited hotdogs, popcorn and soda. They started it this year and it has been a huge success in selling those upper deck seats and keeping people in that section.
Put butts in the seats, less excuses about what stuff costs as to why a family can’t afford a game and it only comes with their 300 seat season tickets. They had other concessions on that level but what a deal.
LSU is the most impressive home field advantage in all CFB and maybe of any sport in the world. Especially at night!
Chance of rain, never!!!
I go to 1-2 games a season usually Florida and or Bama.
The sheer amount of people outside the stadium is mind boggling!!
LSU will have 102,000 in the stadium and 35,000 outside the stadium just getting hammer-jacked all day!!!
Go to Chimes near campus if you can!! That or walk ons! Fun times!
As far a tiger stadium, the stadium itself is quite old and the concourses are tight! The south end zone is brand new and the most luxurious even compared to the west club seating areas.
If you can get tickets in the south end zone club it’s amazing!
Also, one of the most intriguing and intimidating things at LSU is the Walk down the HILL through campus and next to Mike the Tiger’s cage. If you go, that piece of pagentry is by far the most impressive thing in the SEC!
My cousin was a leader in the Golden Band during Saban’s 2003 title run. We often talk about how much emotion and insane love the LSU fans have for the golden band and the golden girls.
His senior year, he told me that he didn’t pay for a single meal during the 2003 season. He would just wear his band jacket and fans and students paid for his stuff everywhere they went!
Had I not gone to UH I would have been thrilled to go to LSU. Glad I went to UH to get a great education.
If UH offered free hot dogs on the third level, there would be folks from the lower level climbing up two levels to get to those free hot dogs . . . . .
In addition, info from LSU grads, one can get intoxicated without drinking any alcohol while attending a game there.
Mention of Mike the Tiger, I went to Housto Zoo recently and was not impressed with Shastas habitat. It is small and there is now just one sign telling you Shasta is there. The Zoo can do better and so can UH. If Tilman Fertita can get the permits to have Siberian Tigers in downtown then surely UH could have Shasta on campus. There is the big area next to the Cougar Woods Dining Hall that be perfect for a habitat be double size of the Houston Zoo, and can keep the trees already there as part of Shasta’s home. Best of all the the Shasta habitat would be on a corner next to TDECU and in an area that so many students and alumni pass. UH and the Houston Zoo can do a partnerhsip where one of their animal care takers can take care of Shasta and his brother, and the Houston Zoo can get some singage for marketing on the UH Campus.
It was crazy efficient, so we would screw it up. Once you scanned in the gate you went to the 300 table about 20’fwet from the gate and got a wrist band. No lines on the 300 level as there were about 6 places open giving it away. Soda was self serve and in a smaller cup. Just made sense so yes, we would
Mess it up.
