GAME THREAD: #6 UH @ Xavier 12/1 5:30PM FS1 (W 66-60)

Dayton won at SMU. That’s a boost for our SOS.

With Tennessee’s outing, so to speak, our defense is now #1 in KenPom.

KenPom predicts a UH win: 73-67.

Against Purdue, Washington and St Mary’s, Xavier averaged 69.

They are at home. We’ll see. Frankly, I don’t expect they’ll score more than 60.

Seems low to me. I know it’s a road game, but I don’t think Xavier is as good as Dayton or Utah. Guess we’ll find out soon.

I think the road venue counts for 3 points…so at a neutral site, this would be -10.5 or higher. I think it is fair considering we haven’t played a true road game yet.

Considering our defensive propensity and Xavier’s youth, smart bettors will most likely jump on the 7.5.

I know the game against Dayton doesn’t technically fit the description of a “true road game”, but 95% of the fans in that building were Dayton fans and they had their band and cheerleaders there. It was a true road game in everything but official definition. I’ll go on record saying we easily win this one by double digits.

It’s just chili-mac on spaghetti instead of macaroni…

It wasn’t “so to speak”… I wasn’t impressed with UNC or UT’s defense last night.

FWIW, KenPom ratings. UTAH 38, Xavier 41, Dayton 61.

And with a Top 10 team coming to town, it’s gonna be a jazzed up packed arena.

Still baffles me UH built TEDCU with the football program growth in mind planning for stadium expansion, yet UH did not plan for a rebuild and growth in basketball. Feritta Center should of been designed with room for expansion.
