Game Thread: Florida State @ Toyota Center

I wonder how many Coog fans will be there? Can we say 16,000 like Auburn did? And all the complainers wanting conference games played at Toyota? We shall see whether our fans support our top 10 team.

Good grief. How many attendance post do we need?

Coogs ain’t Auburn fans.

If we have attendance problems as a top 5 team, then this is more on the fans than the coaches and administrators.

No we didn’t even fill it up there last year when Auburn came maybe half full

I’d be shocked if even 10,000. Florida St is not a “big” Basketball name. We don’t have any recent Tournament history with them. People don’t hear, “Houston vs. Florida St.” for a Basketball game, and get excited. Would be great if the Toyota Center was packed, but it’s not going to happen.

FWIW, they are only selling lower bowl seats on the Toyota Center ticket site. $49 (inclusive so they say) for behind the basket sections. We have a commitment I’m trying to weasel out of so we can go that night. I hate to miss it as we can get freebies if we are free. :upside_down_face:

EDIT… just for fun I looked at Stub Hub and they have 400 level sections listed. VividSeats doesn’t. So, I don’t know whats going on which is my ususal state of mind these days. I’d rather go to the dentist than mess with ticket sites.

Last years attendance was 6,900, and that was with a good amount of Auburn fans. Never seen the upper level curtained off before like they did for that game…

Question should be, why did we play the Auburn game at Toyota and why are we playing the Florida State game at Toyota ?

Why not just home and home !!

With the Toyota hosting the sweet 16 and elite 8, I love playing a game in TC during the regular season, I imagine the team does as well.

Well the two of us are going.

I go to most games. I can’t just come up with attendance worries every day. I sudpect the majority of us don’t either. Most of these are started by trolls and once-a-quarter posters.

A promoter put together the two Auburn games in Toyota and Bham, and he did the Aggie game at Toyota the year before (and maybe one I’m forgetting). Kelvin likes the guy quite a bit. I’m not a fan, but I don’t have a say.

Another promoter is doing this year’s game vs. FSU.

If nothing else, it’s good to get experience playing in these big arenas. The visuals get weird the bigger the venue.

I would rather not have UH play at Toyota Center for the 2026 Sweet 16/Elite 8.

I don’t want to sound arrogant but Fla St isn’t a big draw. I’d rather play Fla St in Fertitta and Kansas or Arizona at Toyota Center. But that’s how it was worked out. Ima just enjoy the game. Plus beating them again in something will be fun.

Conference games should be played at HOME.

This is the reverse psychology of FSU fans at the 2015 Peach Bowl lol

They didn’t want to play us either.
