Texas will have its fans at the game, but I think the UH fans will overwhelm them. Fanwise, this game means more to UH fans than UT fans. Having fans root for both teams jacks up the energy level of both teams, making for a great game atmosphere. NCAA Tournamentish.
This. I donât think weâre going to have any trouble creating a loud atmosphere for our Coogs. Not sure if weâll âElvinâ them, but I think we win this one by double digits.
I couldnât believe my eyes at first but then saw later comments that you were messing around. No way in hell would that be a complete season for me. Screw the Shorthorns. This fanbase needs to have expectations of a national championship nowâŠ
It probably wasnât evident that I wasnât being serious haha so I donât blame you for the initial reaction!
Hope the same for you!
Itâs the older Coog fans that went through the SWC that have the constant obsession with UT.
Younger fans like me can care less about the horns or aggies.
I am not obsessed. I just want Texas to lose every game they play and Deloss Dodds to die a very slow excruciating death covered in his own excrement.
Passionate? Yes Obsessed? I donât know, I donât think so. Yeah definitely not, I think.
Thereâs a 100% chance that Sampson wants to crush UT, and that winning like that would make his week complete.
I just hope we leave enough in the tank to beat Iowa St. I hate how close these games are to each other.
Thatâs a legitimate concern, but they have what could be a tough one with Texas Tech on Saturday, and theyâll have to travel.
Both teams will be a little tired - weâll see whoâs tougher.
If UT was an honest partner that wanted the best for all schools in order to grow college sports, there would be no haterade. UT is all about UT. UT has never advocated for UH, unless it benefited UT. Iâve had more than one person explain to me that UTâs support of UH to the SWC was more about controlling UH than what was good for the conference.

As a younger UH fan my animosity towards UT primarily centered around them taking Herman as well as the perception that they had at least some hand in us not being in the Big 12. Now that weâre in the Big 12 and Herman flames out I honestly donât feel much towards them. Theyâre basically just the Austin-Tech. Lol
Who do you think kept UH out of the SWC all those yrs??
F the Whorns.
I wouldnât expect our younger alums to understand the hatred us older alums have for UT because they didnât have to experience all the B.S. we went through.
Wasnât just UH saying F the Whorns.
MIZZU left. Why?
Colorado?
Nebraska?
Arkansas?
There isnât a school in the country that does less with the resources they have but their fans beat their chest like theyâre the top dog with countless National titles.
Before this past season in FB they lost SEVENTY-TWO games in 13 yrs. Thatâs 5.5 per season.
Yep. Iâd venture to say Iowa Stateâs got a tougher matchup on Saturday than we do, and we definitely have the advantage in not having to turn around and travel the next day.
while playing someone like iowa state isnât ideal for a second leg of a saturday/monday stretch it certainly helps that both of those 2 games will be at home and we have no weekday game to play beforehand this time compared to the one in january
A perfectly understandable, reasonable, well thought out post. I can agree with.
The two day turn around playing Texas and Iowas state will be a lot like the Sweet 16 weekend of the tournament.
We lead the all times series by one now according to our media guide.

Oh dang. For some reason that baseball game was showing up on my calendar as a 6:30 pm game. I might take my son over there after the basketball game now. Thanks!
