Really nervous about this one. We have to go 2-1 in non-conf or the season could get historically ugly.

85 degrees and 9 mph wind? Everyone needs to start planning for the weather. I suggest at least a light windbreaker, some may even want to consider long johns and gloves.

My bad JL I changed it bc we were less than a week away and there wasnā€™t one so I edit it to GAMEDAY thread. Lol

No worries. I need all the help I can get.

Agreed. The first 6 games are key.

Unlv
OU
Rice
Cincy
ISU
TCU

Those are very winnable games outside OU, need to start off 3-3 to have any hopes at a bowl game. I donā€™t think anybody expects us to beat OU but I do think we give them an early scare. Fritzā€™s did it in 2021 when Tulane lost 35-40 at Norman.

Iā€™m used to basketball we start it as soon as the week starts and/or when the last game ends.

Nothingā€™s wrong with getting it right. :grinning:

This is no normal season opening game regardless of how many times Iā€™ve said that in August.

Great opponent to open. A sneaky good team (these guys arenā€™t Rice, enough said) who have their hearts and minds on the box score of that NEW SCOREBOARD as much as we do.

But we have to beat them! Iā€™d hate a loss more than Iā€™d like a win. Opening Day is the best place to get a first win too. :grinning:

With all the newness, the affect on the psyche (not to mention the readability of this board and future home attendance numbers) and the affect of having actual game tape to work with for the coaches/players, maybe even what plays to refine, keep going with or trash. Might help with depth chart solidification too. Setting the tone, blah blah blah. Plus heading to Norman 1-0 would look better than 0-1 and be a much nicer drive.

If Smith is on target and there exists a running game, we should be ok IF AND ONLY IF (thatā€™s my college education for you) we see their punter a few times in the first quarter and beyond else it might be a long night. We canā€™t be a sieve IOW.

The best time of year is upon us!

Theyll have all kinds of trouble dealing with our heat and humidity. Watch them fade in 2nd half. Nevada scare against SMU helps prep us for the game against a similar opponent.

I guess I have to start the girls of UNLV until game day.

Donā€™t worry Kmoney, is not going to get ugly because we are going to win every single game. Right now, we have the super coach. this coach is going to win everything, and we donā€™t have the old and terrible coach any more. Remember, he got fired. Anyways, I donā€™t care if UH does not win a single game, all I care about is to watch my Coogs play. Have a nice day
