Last year, with UH’s first year in the B12, fans were excited about competing in a P5 and hosting Texas, and let that momentum drive the season. As the season unfolded with each UH loss, excitement waned, and by the time the season ended, most fans wanted to see a change in the head coach.
This year fans seem to be more mature and sober about competing in the B12. Most fans are not expecting a conference championship, but a bowl game would be considered a major accomplishment. A lot of the fans’ reaction to this season reflects Coach Fritz’s positive demeanor. Last year Holgorsen reminded fans why UH wasn’t ready to compete. In fact at times, if you listened to Holgorsen, its amazing UH won any conference games.
From what I have seen, Coach Fritz will bring back the glory to Cullen Blvd.
I love the color scheme. It’s clean. But again, I can’t stand the Houston on the helmet when there is Houston on the jersey. It’s repetitive. Maybe I need to go to the offices and let them know directly. Lol
Good things happen on the field when we’ve got that many students in the stands. Love to see a big rowdy student section. It gets the old farts fired up too!!!
