At Hobby now about to board flight 6959 with what looks like about 15 other folks in Coog gear.
Super rowdy bunch indeed. Hope they planned ahead with enough liquor for the 55 minute flight. #gocoogs

You’re a little behind. Tulane is improved this year - after improving last year. Also, Case isn’t with the Broncos anymore.

The verdict is still out on Tulane. Have they played Wazzu and OU? No. They’ve played two middle schools. We’ll find out if they’ve improved, or if they’re the same team that was stonewalled by coach YMCA’s defense. I think they’ve improved, but will it be enough? I’m sure CDH is pitching underdogs to our team, but anyone who has been keeping up with both programs’ talent level would know we are not underdogs. We in fact still out-class them in the 3 deep.

This is good information. Now please go look at everyone else’s profile pictures and if they’re not currently playing on that team let them know. Deadline is Sunday at 2359. I look forward to your report.

Banged-up at linebacker

Starter Terrance Edgeston has a high-ankle sprain and is listed as day-to-day, and backup Jordan Carmouche is out for the season with a shoulder injury. Depth took a hit as Nathan Fox, a graduate transfer from Northwestern who played sparingly to begin season, left the program last week.

The Cougars could start a pair of sophomores, Donavan Mutin and Zamar Kirven. Kirven, whom the coaching staff would prefer to redshirt, came off the bench for Edgeston and posted a career-high eight tackles against Washington State. Mutin is third on the team with 17 tackles.

Linebackers? Who needs linebackers?

Geez!

Houston Cougars keys to the game

  • Keep up the intensity
  • Limit big plays
  • Stick with what works offensively

Tulane Green Wave keys to the game

  • Contain King
  • Limit turnovers
  • Play like the favorite

second.

it’s time coach started looked like a coach who has a long history of being successful and win this game easily.

Amen. Tulane may be favored, but I think a lot of that outlook comes from smoking an FIU team that is not as good as preseason projections. Following their loss to Tulane, FIU came home and got beat by Western Kentucky. May not exactly be a hat-hanging win for the Wave at the end of the year.

Hopefully Dana can use the underdog chatter to motivate our guys. We still have more talent, just haven’t put it together yet against a pretty brutal early season schedule.

Line starting to creep down at several books this afternoon. Sharps coming in on the Coogs?

They probably got wind of Coogs being notorious dragon slayers. Especially if said dragon has less roster talent than the Coogs. I know it’ll be a 4 quarter game, but it will be one we can win in the battle of attrition.

I’m taking the points!!! We will win or at least covered.

The offense just has to stay on schedule. A messy 3rd quarter on that side of the ball is what hurt us most against Wazzu.

Just checked in at the alumni tailgate. Guys, there is an energy here that is predicated from excellence and fulfilled expectations… Of the jambalaya. We may be low-key now but we will be ready to cheer on the team for those of you who couldnt make it. #eatemup

very jealous !

my pregame will be bar food from the local watering hole if they are open. I was dodging stalled cars on the drive home and i’m in the galleria; a very unflood prone area. I worked all day so I missed most of the storm, but apparently it was crazy rain and flooding out there.

Man I hope we show our true selves tonight.

I genuinely believe we are a good team. We just lost to two very, very good teams.
