Germans protest possible draft reinstatement

Germany was one of the last large Western countries to end the draft in 2011.

They plan to enlarge their military in response to Putin, and just passed a bill that may require some conscription if the new recruiting goals cannot be met through volunteers.

Protests are breaking out.

Why serve a country whose government is actively working to demonize you.

Not surprised. I believe Poland, Estonia and Latvia are also pouring money into their military.
