ND winning it all keeps the narrative alive that if you give a team a chance , this happens vs the p2 stuff over and over. Plus ND is without a conf . I think ND was #7 so they’d be out of it all the playoffs of last yr etc. Arizona st could have beaten Texas if Texas didn’t get that bs non call in targeting and last yr etc arizona st has zero chance in the 4 team playoff. Had Boise won they could be there so it’s at least more fair now.
I’ve always liked Notre Dame, except for that freezing day in the Cotton Bowl! I’m amazed they beat Penn State; they looked dead in the first half. Unfortunately I think the winner of Texas-Ohio State will probably win it all. And with that in mind, go Buckeyes! (which I never want to type again).
If the BIG can negotiate a new media deal approaching $100m/year then so can Notre Dame. And so I doubt that they ever join the BIG.
We’ll see.
