That moment told me he wasn’t the coach for UT. I enjoy seeing them lose but don’t hate them like some of our fans. But that was embarrassing, something a middle school kid would do. I can’t quite picture DKR or Coach Yeoman pulling such a juvenile stunt.

Don’t need a Go Fund Me. Big Money Donors were already pissed, and Ehlinger was the only player to stay for the school song. At least 90% chance Herman is fired end of season. Many are hoping for sooner. If so, Urban Meyer is the only name on the list.

I think the only way they get Urban Meyer is to give him more than Jumbo Fisher. Meyer has a way better résumé.

Did you just compare Big Herm and Strong to Urban Meyer, one of the top college football coaches of all time? It’s a huge job, no doubt. That’s why Texas needs a hall of fame level coach.

Isn’t the reason Urban Meyer retired medical? Why would he come back? Especially to a high stress position as the ut coaching one? I think they’ll go after the Clemson guy. Back up 2 dump trucks full of money and see if he bites.

Matt Campbell is best available coach for the next big P5 job. No one’s getting Meyer or Saban or Dabo. While we’re at it, no one is going to sign off on paying Hermeroid $20M to NOT coach! They’re stuck with him for at least another year thanks to that brilliant move to extend his contract two years. DelConte has his work cut out for him.

I think they’ll find the $$$ if they want to get rid of him badly enough. Not impossible they could finish strong, but I wouldn’t bet on it. There are rumblings that the big wheel alums are already making overtures to Meyer.

Meyer has already lived his dream job of coaching The OSU and winning championships. Imo, he would be a fool to take the Whorns job.

UT recently took something like ~$200 million from the state of Texas’ PUF funds to buy that vacant land over near NRG stadium for a proposed UT-Houston didn’t they?

Don’t you understand that that guy alone could give back $20-$30 million to pay Tom Herman & friends just to go away? Then there’s Red McCombs
and others like him
