If you are at a certain age, you might recall Bill Atkinson in the early stages of the home/personal PC movement. Just passed away. Funny, the same detractors we have for new tech today, sound an awful like those detractors back then. Just an observation. RIP!
I was at Macworld in 1987 in Boston when the HyperCard was introduced. It was the biggest intro at the show. In fact, I probably got one of the software packages including the software that Apple was passing out.
The truth is, we were a fringe, fledgling computer company rep sales company that just dabbled in a few Apple products. I drew the short straw and attended. Talk about being in over your head! Whenever someone walked into our booth that knew what they were talking about, I hid.
Should have paid more attention and bought stock back then!
On the plus side, an expense paid trip to Boston never is bad. Plus went to a Bonnie Raitt concert!
