Honestly, the biggest “change” that should be made is getting back to forcing turnovers, commit fewer TOs, or shoot better. We can win against anyone if we do two of those, and we can beat most teams if we just do one.
Turnover differential was the biggest factor yesterday, and it isn’t even close.
I blame the article someone wrote (not naming names) highlighting how incredibly well we were taking care of the ball. It’s all gone to Hell since then.
That’s not true. We screen off the ball a lot, but maybe you’d like to see more of that. Maybe we could run more plays, like you’re saying and less “make something happen.” That’s fair

Mike, This is the best analysis that I have read since yesterday. CKS presser is excellent and your post is right on.
I keep coming back to the same conclusion. Chris had 13 rebounds and 10 points but…he had no PF
While Kharchenkov had 16 points, nine rebounds and one PF. Kharchenkov is a freshman and is 6’7" not 6’11".
UA played our game while we seemed to be hesitating by which identity we want to play with. Facts are that our inside players are not dominant enough.
CKS pointed out on how we started our game and what he thought would be the outcome, a one or two possession. CKS is an amazing HC. Our players, his players have to be rise to the next level if we want to win a NC this season. That is as simple as that. I would much rather see Chris with 10 points, 10 rebounds and four PF. This will tell me our inside game is much more aggressive. This is valid for JoJo that only had four rebounds. That is not like him. He has to do better, same goes for other biggs. March Madness is coming fast. Kansas is going to want to rebound too. This is a MAJOR game for us.
Just want people to check the Hou vs Arizona record these past couple of years. We have owned their lunch. They are bound to win some too as they typically are a good team.
It is pretty simple. Need to start making open shots, especially the guys off the bench. Need to start turning over teams again. You cant expend the amount of effort we do on defense, and not force more turnovers. Need to take better care of the ball.
That is the formula that has UH on the longest active streak of S16s and got us to 2 final 4s and the national championship game last year.
Some of the over reaction would have you believe we lost to a mid major or bottom dweller in the B12. I know AZ was without Peat but that team is stacked and has a legit shot at an NC. Without all the giveaway points from turnovers maybe we win.
