What a Great story! Thanks for posting. I had sort of forgotten about Grant Stuard although I always loved his intensity and was happy and proud he made it into the NFL.
So one night, i forgot the year, maybe 2016 or 2017, I was out at midtown with my then girlfriend and a few friends. It must have been Grant’s senior year of high school while he was on a weekend recruiting visit to UH. We ran into him and a few other recruits at a bar, which I am assuming knew who they were and let them in knowing the obvious. I could you not, this mans shoulders were huge, I mean, just two cannonballs on each end. And that image has been stuck with me. Him and the recruits seemed a bit shy, but otherwise very respectful and called me sir, I was only 25 or so at the time.
Get this man a deal with Head and Shoulders. Troy Polamalu ain’t got nothing on him !
Grant was my favorite defensive player when he played for the Coogs. I have been very happy about how life turned out for this outstanding young man. He is a great example for kids who come from very hard upbringing.
This is such a great article. I don’t know that dude, but I’m proud of him.
Nice! He’s anything but irrelevant
