Dang it, went to the default ESPN until the last 5 minutes of the UH doc. This is so much better than gameday. I was a bit weary of the TNT Big12 thing, but so far it is looking like a big winner

Dang I missed the first half of it. Just got home from my early Costco run.
TNT also took over airing US Soccer from Fox Sports. Everything about TNTs coverage is light years ahead of the horrible Fox Sports half asssed coverage. Looks like they are putting their all into covering the Big12 too. I’m really interested to see their Big12 Basketball productions.

I have enjoyed their broadcast.
The only part I didn’t like was the pre-game where a couple of guys picked Okie State saying how this was a “trap game.”

I guarantee you that if the game was on any ESPN channel or ABC, the entire pregame would be dedicated to UT-OU, Bama-Mizzou, and Ohio State-Illinois with barely a mention of our game.

I mentioned it when the season started TNT’s coverage puts espn to shame. Clearly espn does not bring their full production for most of the BIG12 games.
Production cost are expensive. All of the “action” that we watch on tv are possible because of working trucks, satellite trucks that are actually rented for the event. They have nothing to do with espn or TNT. You either decide to spend the money or you do not. espn is going cheap with the BIG12 and it is on purpose. We had games when only four cameras were actually covering the game. I am not even mentioning the espn+ games that have often commentators commenting on the game in Bristol, not at the stadium where the game is taking place.
TNT’s coverage on the other hand is fully engaged toward the BIG12. That is their primary focus. How many times did we see espn “disconnect” as quickly as they could after our games?

Eff E[SEC]PN for multiple reasons. Wish we could completely break away from them. Support HBO/TNT as much as you can guys. If you have a steaming service that you barely use but don’t have HBO, make the switch!

ESPN is bad, Fox sports is the absolute worst of them all, straight up garbage.
