What Is Operation Allies Welcome, the Program That Gave Some Afghans Entry to the U.S.? - The New York Times https://share.google/ln7Ouja7reUMS6ri5

Very sad; feel for the families this Thanksgiving.

All but one of the local national interpreters that helped me in Afghanistan except one are now in the USA.

I’ve written letters of recommendation for SIVs for all of them.

With only one exception, I haven’t regretted doing so.

One of them proved disappointing because here in the USA, he has become a gung-ho anti-Israel guy (or maybe he always was, but I definitely had no idea at the time). The day after 10/7, I saw him broadcasting a video on Facebook live from the state capitol in Austin at an anti-Israel protest; he later posted stuff on Facebook saying how he hoped Israel wouldn’t exist much longer, and calling the IDF terrorists.

This tragedy exemplifies the consequences of unproper vetting. Think of how many millions came through our border in the last few years. We all remember that known and want to be terrorists had crossed our borders and we found out that some of these same terrorists whereabouts were unknown. This abject incident is a stark reminder that our freedom exists and has a cost. Not one family ought to have their lives changed forever because of our own ineptitudes.

And who handled his vetting after working for and being trained by the CIA and who approved his asylum paperwork in 2025.

Good thing you bring this up. This is even more alarming.

Ofcourse there is a CIA connection

Indeed, incompetence at the highest level, mind boggling.

And who signed his assylum paperwork?

It does not really matter who signed it but how in the world did this abject animal get to the U.S. The other question is how many others are in our country.

Idk, with the CIA always seemingly connected it seens more nefarious than incompetence

Is he an animal only because of the color of his skin?

I don’t recall you calling for all young white males who are likely to be mass shooters question why they are allowed to stay in the country.

What were the Afghan “Zero Units” that the National Guard shooting suspect reportedly worked for? - CBS News What were the Afghan "Zero Units" that the National Guard shooting suspect reportedly worked for? - CBS News
A former senior Afghan general under that previous government told CBS News on Thursday that “03 unit, also known as The Kandahar Strike Force (KSF), was under special forces directorate of NDS. They were the most active and professional forces, trained and equipped by the CIA. All their operations were conducted under the CIA command.”

The units were known in Afghanistan for their secrecy and alleged brutality, and members were implicated in numerous extrajudicial killings of civilians, particularly during night raids.

They were considered by the U.S. and its international partners to be among the most trusted domestic forces in Afghanistan."

“Considered” and we have this…
I have no doubts that we had true heroes that worked alongside our troops, risked their lives and their family’s lives.
The other factor is what if this abject animal took the identity of another person? Because there was hardly any vetting all possibilities are there…unfortunately.

That’s because our 2-party system cannot come together for a proper immigration plan, and thus resort to radical plans take it or leave it

It’s either take em all or not allow any of them.

The reality is that the US economy relies heavily on immigrants (both legal and illegal) in way that average americans simply do not understand.

Let’s no go there. If we know a known listed terrorist gets into our country. Then we no longer know their whereabouts this has nothing to do with what you brought up but about being competent. Surely we ought to agree on this.
National security is paramount.

The gunman literally worked with the CIA dude.

That is exactly my point. Obviously there is a major breakdown between what the cia perceived and what this abject p.o.s. is. He had been in our country for four years. He drives cross country to do this?

I was merely responding to your post alluding that this was an immigration issue, which based on what we now know, this shooting is not an immigration isse.

The shooter worked for the CIA, and was likely given protective measures due to the fact. I don’t think vetting is an issue in this case, but yes, obviously something went wrong in this guy’s brain to do this.

With that said, normal people do not work for or with the CIA. These are not regular people with regular motives and goals.

Just like Navy SEALs, Delta, Green Berets, etc… these are not average people.

If I’m going to take a guess, I am going to assume that this guy did this due to Israel-Palestine
