P.A. yup.
Same reason why we have a bathroom bill. It is a meaningless gesture that fires up his base.
We got fed a lot BS after this tragedy.
The answers are staring us right in the face but some need to go back to the BS for some reason. Personally i abhore lies.
It is now clear, this wasn’t a vetting problem and ihas nothing to do with being radicalized or Sharia law.
No, the truth is we made this man and we didn’t do enough to help his PTSD. You know from being a part of an American backed death squad.
So this is how it played out,
The Afghan national accused of the recent shooting of National Guard members in Washington, D.C., was reportedly experiencing financial stress and a mental health crisis (which included symptoms of PTSD), leading to difficulties in finding and maintaining stable work in the U.S…
The individual, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an elite Afghan commando who had worked with the CIA, came to the U.S. in 2021 as part of Operation Allies Welcome, which offered humanitarian parole rather than a direct path to an immigrant visa or automatic permanent residency.
Key factors that contributed to his employment struggles include:
- Visa and Employment Issues: Many veterans of the “Zero Units,” the elite CIA-backed units Lakanwal was part of, have faced significant hardships with visa and employment issues after arriving in the U.S…
- Mental Health Struggles: Family members and community volunteers told authorities that Lakanwal suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) stemming from his combat experience in Afghanistan. This led to periods of “dark isolation” and erratic behavior, such as taking off on long, cross-country drives, which made holding a job difficult.
- Resettlement Challenges: The process of starting over in a new country can be difficult for many refugees. Lakanwal reportedly felt abandoned by the CIA and struggled to leave his war experiences behind.
- Immigration Status Uncertainty: Lakanwal was granted asylum in April 2025 , a process that had faced backlogs and policy debate, which may have contributed to his instability.
His personal crisis reportedly deepened over the years he was in the U.S., with a volunteer noting that they worried he might become suicidal due to his withdrawal. This culminated in the November 2025 shooting incident near the White House that left one National Guard member dead and another critically wounded.
I haven’t seen definitive information regarding what these Guardsmen were doing, but I have to question whether a 20-year old had been sufficiently trained for what I presume was some kind of urban law enforcement assignment.
I’m certainly not blaming them, but this shouldn’t have happened.
Weird, when a white American kid goes on a killing spree I have not seen the poster who wears a tinfoil sharia hat blame the guns or white extremist sites but goes to mental health as the reason and that guns don’t kill people.
The whole sharia law coming to the US is fear mongering and will not happen.
What’s wrong with Sharia Law?
Who in this country has brought back the death penalty and hinted at public executions?
Answer: He can not be named.
To answer the first question, the USSC, only a few years after they had called it a “no go.” That was back in 1976, reversing a 1972 decision.
As for public executions, that’s a different issue.
I heard a reasonable pundit with views I don’t always agree with advocate that executions are meant to be public, because the death penalty is the will of the people. The people should see the results of their desired policy.
They revised it in the 20th century to lessen the coarsening of society. The counterpoint would be that witnessing an execution live would put a face to the punishment, and people will know their true feelings when they see a life extinguished. If it truly is a deterrent, like some claim, this is the way to back that up.
I’m not sure if our society could get any more vulgar, so maybe it’s not a horrible idea. Although the state taking a life is the ultimate vulgarity, IMO, and multiple studies show it is not a deterrent at all. Criminals don’t think they’ll get caught. They’re not normally smart, which is why they are criminals.
Thank you for posting. What can you do when some posters can’t understand the obvious? shariah law has no place in Western society. It has nothing to do with freedom of religion. This is the exact opposite.
It also has nothing to do with this thread.
I can say polygamists have no place in Western society, glad we stopped the Mormons. But that has nothing to do with this tragedy
Practically no one is trying to bring public executions to the United States because of sharia law. Y’all need to get a grip on reality and deal with real problems that actually exist.
If anyone is truly afraid of sharia law coming to the USA, then I’m guessing you’re also worried about the earth being flat and falling off the edge of it accidentally.
Sharia law will never become the law of the land in the US. Everything about it violates our existing laws and Constitution.
However, you have blinders on if you don’t believe there is a subset of our population that wants to implement Sharia Law even if it is on a small scale in their own community.
There is subset of our population that believes extraterrestrials visit us weekly,
a subset that believes in conspiracies, and still subsets of our population that still
believe in and practice polygamy , and a subset that’s creating a whites only town, …shall I go on ?
A group of white supremacists has established a “whites-only” settlement named
Return to the Land in a remote area of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, near the town of Ravenden. The group promotes a white ethnostate and openly bans individuals who are Black, Jewish, or LGBTQ from living there.
Who the f are ya? I’m Catholic I don’t even believe in the death penalty. I posted that as a joke. This place is so divided you guys are crazy.
Ok and? If people want to follow sharia law of their own free will then fine. It’s called freedom. Why should anyone of us give af more than we care about any other religious fundamentalists?
The irony and paranoia in this thread is heavy duty material.
No one is imposing sharia law on anyone in this country and how it’s relevant to the OP is beyond ridiculous.
Do you not care about honor killings? Suppressing women’s rights? Physically abusing women? Etc?
We have laws against those things.
