Man that was quick, did Francis just have this totally set up pre-death? I mean I know he stacked the Cardinals with those he aligned with, but even then super quick.

I saw that, not a Jesuit.
I did not think I would see an American pope in my lifetime. Early indications he is not as progressive as Pope Francis but not regressive like other candidates. He is from Chicago, guess he was a fan of the Cardinals and not the Bears or Cubs.

I knew a Franciscan years ago that went to the same seminary (Chicago Theological Union), and he was a great priest.
About the same age.
I wonder if they were classmates.

His undergrad degree is in Math.
