Where is the best place to park (general admission) at the Fertitta Center? I am planning to attend the scrimmage on Saturday wit my daughter and am looking for the best option. I am not necessarily looking for the closest place to park but the easiest to get in/out and avoid traffic. I’ve been the FC once, but someone dropped me off and picked me up. Again - I really don’t mind a little bit of a walk - simply looking for something that isn’t as stressful/congested. I realize the school publishes parking maps, but I have no idea what lot is really the easiest to get in/out of or if there are additional places not on university maps that would be better. Thanks in advance!
Parking garage at end of Elgin past architecture bldg was 20 dollars, bus picks u up there although it probably won’t be running that early, but easy walk to FC
The blue lots across Cullen from the baseball field and across Cullen from McDonalds look like they would fill the bill. I assume they are open for cash customers.
That lot was 40 when we saw it. The one right next to McDonald’s (literally in the same parking lot) on Elgin was 20 when i saw it. I think something that’s free and I’ve heard a lot here is parking next to PNC Stadium (formally BBVA) and take rail to TDECU and walk next to the IPF between the stadium and orange garage go get to Fertitta.
I’ve been parking across Scott Street curb parking for over 10 years. Price is right…free. And, very easy in and out going out on Alabama to the Southwest Fwy entrance. Never any traffic.
If you are going Saturday, parking is going to be a premium because of the football game or I assume that is how it will be. You may have to check the football parking map to see where cash is accepted.
My suggestion, especially if you’re also going to the football game with your daughter, drive to the Palm Center Transit Center. Park free in a secure area. Trains leave every 12 minutes to the UH Campus, (see the campus and College of Med building on the way), free ride on game Day. Get off at UH Athletics Stadium stop and walk a short distance through the Cougar tailgate area to FC. Post scrimmage/game catch the train back to your car. Nice easy, clean, safe ride with no hassles. Better walk than from MacDonalds or Architecture Bldg.
With no WS game in town, the lot across from BBVA should be open and free.
Thank you all very much! These are all great suggestions. Appreciate it!
