Interesting. The number of kids going to UH and UHD decreased a little 19-23. Meanwhile, the numbers going to UT and A&M increased a little. Wonder what is the cause of that.

Good observation. I’ve no idea why UT and atm increased their HISD haul
by 20-25% during that period.

Be nice to have comparable data from the other larger districts here, like
Cy-Fair. Also kinda surprised SHSU didn’t show better in this data.

Now show me the choices of the suburban school districts in Houston and the suburban school districts in Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin & San Antonio.

I believe there were some new measures in place that UT and TAMU were required to take low income students, at at reduced tuition rates.

Most of that group probably comes from HISD

Once again, it shows that kids today want affordable. Hope the current admin also does away with government backed student loans.

Good idea; now see if you can mine it and post it here.

Close to 60% stayed in the Houston area. My thought? They are working and going to school

trust me it’s true - they got smart and started offering kids from certain schools more money that would’ve fit in better places - especially Texas A&M - now the retention rate at those schools is one that I know isn’t the best

but also HCC numbers could be skewed due to dual enrollment
