I see no problem. If the idea is to really give them usable skills. I wish JC and small schools in our state would emphasize trades with guaranteed job placement. The hardest thing for a young graduate is to develop the two or three years of job experience they need to make a career without going broke. Sharing that initial cost with employers would benefit everyone. I guarantee you if you offset a kid’s wages with your average master plumber after two years he would gladly take that kid and not let him or her go.
Why? I am in favor of trade schools. We clearly as a nation or the world have a major problem with trade jobs.
University is not for everyone. Instead of admitting everyone what about “slashing” school prices? That in itself is a question that is not been discussed. Why?
