I agree. Holgo isn’t Herman. Coming into this season, he has coached 3 wins against FBS teams that finished the year with winning records. He now has two losses to Tulane. He’s more Applewhite than Herman.

He saw his opportunity with Levine’s recruits, didn’t bother recruiting his own because he knew he would be a short timer, in fact was talking to South Carolina only six months into the job. You are right, Holgy is not Herman.

You want Herman? Take the bad with the good. Herman dropped us for UT. Think CDH will do that? Herman was a snake oil salesman. Complain about Applewhite? He was coaching with Herman’s recruits. CDH inherited Applewhite’s recruits.

Herman was a lying A**hole that went to Texas. We won yesterday (3 in a row) and aren’t out of the championship hunt. Coaches will come and go, like them or not it doesn’t matter. Nobody has ever gone out to watch a game anywhere and pulled for the coach.

Herman was so successful at UH other schools went nuts pursuing him. He played off LSU vs UT and went to Austin which was his lifetime goal. He felt he could navigate the crazy UT culture, but couldn’t. His ego caused him to make numerous mistakes and their big time boosters turned on him swiftly. However most of his time at UH was our most enjoyable football days. Unfortunately the way he left us was devastating and we followed it up with two terrible hires. Better get the next one right.
