Can’t beat 0.00 ERA…

He was a later round college arm a couple of years back….has pretty good overall stuff.

I’m really interested in what adjustments have taken place this fall….Because last season(Corpus)he was not missing many bats….this is a huge turnaround for the kid.

ESPN is on top of next season outlook.

That’s the kind of in-depth hard-hitting analysis we need.

I didn’t realize we had traded to get Gusto back.

It hasn’t been announced yet.

Maybe they forgot to put the “no takebacks” clause in the Sanchez deal.

Lol

If that is what you call the fall-back plan then we’re #%ed. Christian could come back storming and we’d still be two starters short. We’re gonna lose two to injury. That’s just the normal cycle.

McCullers? WTF

from CBS.

MLBTV is now through ESPN.
ESPN is the local TV now for AZ, Cleveland, Colorado, Minnesota, San Diego and Seattle.

Dubon to the Braves!!!

For a guy that is exponentially worse……pure salary dump.

And they got rid of Urias for nothing.

The two moves free up about 10M and a couple of roster spots to protect Ullola and Santa?

Also a lot of chatter about Jake being on the block……that saves money and allows Cole to start in CF.

It would be malpractice if they don’t trade Jake. I like the dude, but he’s at peak market value for the Astros right now, and we have a bunch of guys who will probably be at least as productive. Or we can go sign someone. Either way, trading him should bring back some needed assets.

2 Questions for everyone.

Who are your top three free agent signings if 30M per season was your max.

And, what is one trade you would make to improve the club this year and beyond?

30 million. Imai and Suarez if Imai didn’t take a QO.
And Weaver if you have any coins left over. I think Weaver will be back this season. But I have no idea what kinda money he’ll want.

I would trade Jake and maybe Matthews and cash for a lock-down CF that can hit above his weight for 145 games a year.

Not bad….but I’m bullish on Cole in CF.

Me too. I wasn’t sure if he was going to be ready by opening day. But you know when you make the decision to invest long-term in youth you have to put them out there sooner or later and let the chips tumble. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings. And I really don’t want to relinquish Matthews but I’m not convinced Crane is going to spend enough green to re-vamp the staff.

And Dana just doesn’t seem like the icy, calculating type like Click or Lunhow. He seems more like a wait-it-out and take the bargain guy. I honestly think Crane interviewing Click was a message to Dana. “I’m not the GM. I expect you to be.”

Last, if you’re gonna go with Cole you absolutely should move Jake. Like Coogman says. You’ll probably never get more for him that what you’ll get right now. Maybe just move him straight up for a prospect OFer to come up in the next two years. Lord knows our farm system could use it.

Well if you believe Dana he is not trading Paredes or Walker and Altuve will mostly be at 2b….with Paredes some sort of glorified day off giver for Correa, Walker and Yordan.

Matthews has no path……might as well package him with Jake and get you a decent SP.

There are some guys on the farm that have a lot of talent that are a couple of years out as far as MIF goes, plus you could use this years first round pick on an infield college bat.

But Dana said we weren’t.

Stros get a % on Verlander and Caratini.

Good thing it’s just a bunch of fans that don’t know much about much. :man_facepalming:
