There is another school named after Sam Houston directlyâŠitâs called Sam Houston University.
Ours is named after the City of Houston which was named after Sam Houston.
Our University, however, uses the Coat of Arms of THE HOUSTON FAMILY.
Anyone who has a degree from the University of Houston has the Houston Family Coat of Arms on their degree NOT the seal of the City of Houston

I say this about Houston it was Texas 1st Capitol and then some scalawags hijacked it to Austin . Need to get it back, Houston should secede from Texas establish the state of Houston imo. Area generates over $645B in GDP it can exist on its own

And if you wanted to show your knowledge you shouldâve said Union College for Flying Dutchmen as theyâre much closer to Syracuse. Although, like Hostra, they changed their mascot name.

Actually Orange has another meaning: PROTESTANT.
On the Irish flag, for example, the Green represents Catholics, the Orange represents Protestants, and the White represents the truce between them.
