Pretty good 1st outing. I will take it.

Still shouldn’t have traded JoeLo though

I agree. But damn, that was pretty salty for a first outing. Espada is weak but Scott was the tonic Kikuchi needed to prevent the loss. Now bring Leon off the bench to ice it.

On another note Snell has a no-no going through 8. Apparently it’s the first time in his career that he’s pitched 8 full innings. Crazy.

Edit: he got it

Is Pressly going to blow it?

He obviously picked up on the Astros strategy of starting games not quite ready. :grinning:

Kudos for getting it together after the first couple of batters. I was getting my pitchforks ready.

I don’t get why the coaching staff still thinks Pressly deserves the setup role. Move Scott into the role. It’ll make Haders job easier.

I was hoping that Espada would be different than Dusty, but in many respects he is Dusty 2.0.

He prefers to play veterans over rookies and doesn’t like to tinker with the starting pitching and relief pitching rotation, unless he’s forced to do so.

Right or wrong, that’s my perspective.

I’ll say this about the relief pitching staff, they do keep the fans on the edge of their seats.

Also, Kikuchi gave the team a quality start.

As a fan, I was not disappointed.

I remember the Deshaies outing….my grandfather and I had just buried his mother earlier that day.
I think it was the Dodgers? Not positive.

I remember being happy because it gave us a distraction that evening.

I was sad when JD’s contract was not re-upped in the broadcast booth….

He was so good.

Of all the color men the Astros broadcasting teams have had I honestly like Blummer the best.

It is hard to believe this is Pressly’s 7th season with the Astros.
