Everybody bringin’ lulz

I still think we win the West.

Two Cy Young candidates
Potentially dominant closer
One of the top five dangerous hitters

West title

Who is the second cy young candidate? Hunter Brown? We’ll see. I also have my reservations about the bull pen. Also, Yordan is great but the lineup isn’t as fearsome to me as year’s past.

With Chas McMeyers you only need a couple of more people to slump and you’re struggling.

Dana will rue the day he ever let that happen…if he does.

Why is it always Dana this, Dana that or whatever nickname is given t9 him. If DB was given the ok to Spend 15-20 mil/yr on an OF ( when they’re already slightly over LTax) I feel certain he would have found someone, although it was slim pickings as far as FA ones. Mr Brown does not control how the $$ are spent.

I will enjoy Baseball Season n see if some surprises come out of ST.

#SeeMrCrane

So do I.

West is Astros to lose.

It gets down to Jeremy Pena. Who are you? Are you the dude who looked the equal of Carlos Correa or is he the guy that does HEB commercials.

You’re right. Dana being the GM is basically on the level of catering…or accounts payable. He hasn’t anything to do with the roster.

And don’t worry. .219 will carry us through the rough spots.

Any esteemed members out there wanting to wager on the Astros to win the WS?

12-1

You can make an azs ton of money.

3/2 to win division
5 1/2 to win the ALCS (really low IMO)

Yanks 8-1
Mets 8 1/2 to 1 Lololololololololololololol
(Take the 1)

Cubs at 30-1 might be a play

Chisox 400-1 (dayum)
Can one image $500 turning into $200,000.
Probably not. Lol

Forlorn Angels 150-1

If I have to explain further, not sure what to tell ya. You like mentioning DB alot for some reason, so pls cont if need be.
Fyi… he has a Boss.

Lol

I agree he’s a General Manager. And GM’s don’t manage the acquisitions of outfielders. By your logic the Astros don’t need a GM.
Lol

“I know you’re the GM but when I say I want a .219-hitting outfield I mean it!”

You can play dumb, but i know you know how it works. When he’s over the Luxury Tax threshold his hands are tied unless the Owner gives approval to far exceed those levels, which in beginning of the year Mr Crane has been very reluctant to do. He has done it at Trade deadline ( July) to make a trade n stay at Level 1 Tax, but even that has been rare.
You already knew this but you insisted i spell it out for you w your same replies i assume.
The GM role comes in many forms n he will be heavily involved in the construction of the Roster n all his other day to day duties. I can list a bunch of them of out for ya if you like.
Alright Funkster, you playing me, so i just played back little. Play that Funky music… :notes:

"Just do what Jesse says with my money and get me a Diet Sprite from Catering"

Just joking, Jesse. Lol

I know you are. You try to test me t9 see if I bite . Might be easier to watch this yr w the expectations not being out the roof.
I thk they’ll be fine. 3 way race btw Stros, Mariners, Rangers for West Division.

I’m factoring in the predictable injuries. I don’t think Garcia and Javier both make it back by the ASG. Maybe one, but we don’t know what their output will be. When those guys went down we had a pretty good stable on standby to keep things going. When the predictable injuries happen this year I’m wondering who we fall back on. We better hope McCullers has enough duct tape on his arm. We might need him.

Last time I looked only the Yankees and Orioles had better odds in the AL than the Astros….and the Orioles were just barely shorter odds.

I know you know the payroll well Jesse….so after dealing Pressly shouldn’t that have gotten the team under the cap enough to afford Verdugo?

I mean I’d settle for him before having to watch Chas and Meyers at the same time.

No way Verdugo is gonna cost too much.

We shouldn’t even be mentioned as contenders in the division if it were a normal division but in the AL Least we have a chance somehow.
