Houston Astros Baseball & MLB Discussions

Blamco looked solid tonight.

And the hit parade!

More runs tonight than in all their previous home games combined.

And Dubon managed to go o-5 and lower is average to .059.

DFA by May

Are you thinking Dubon is DFA? Or were you talking about someone earlier. Because his numbers now are starting to remind me of Adam Everett at times in his career. That would be catastrophic, as I have always had high hopes for him to perform at a higher level.

Btw - do the Astros have hitting coaches? I don’t want Dezenzo to get mental about his start.

Meyers at .313? It’s early, but nice to see.

His pitch selection is so much better than last year. If he keeps that up, he’ll move off the liability list. :slightly_smiling_face:

Before he got hurt going over the wall he was on his way up the ladder. That injury really coincided with a bad run of hitting. I haven’t been a fan of him but numbers don’t lie. Just stay above .250 and he can shed the liability tag. If Diaz fixes things it will be better for Myer’s numbers all around.

And here I thought 91 knew baseball….way to put the jinx on him….

He’ll be at .220 by the end of the week.

Well, that’s kind of who he is, so…. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes but you expedited his downfall.

Seems like the team scored all of its runs last night!

Your boy McCullers had a great outing last night for Sugar Land.

Dare we hope?

Damn right, I’m hoping! I love Lance as a player and person. But I’m on record saying he’s got less than 15 MLB innings left. Garcia = 0. Javier = 2 months.

Paredes getting comfy in Daiken.

Wesneski has some pretty filthy stuff….i had no idea he was that talented.

He just has to cut down on the HR’s.

He gave up 3 solo shots today ( the only 3 runs).

Other than those he only gave up a couple of base hits and struck out 10 in 6 innings.

A bit wild in the zone but I like the stuff.

2 of 3 from the Angels….

The starting pitching is good enough to win most series….hitting is coming around.

Let’s see if they can win the next few series.

Rangers don’t impress me….smoke and mirrors.

They are 9-6 with a -17 run differential.
Astros the only team in division with a positive differential at +2.

Did you see the last one? Holy smokes - that ball was demolished.

His walk rate has been the thing that kind of hindered him in the past. Looks good so far, for sure.

That Angels lineup has some pop, though.

Good thing you don’t get any extra runs for distance….
The Astros pitched well against that lineup and yes I agree it’s got some pop.

The Angels always have pop but its usually scattered over dozens of games. This season they look like they’re reeling it in. This division is going to be a marathon with multiple teams running in the top grouping. I think the division on whole will be better than last year. Hate the Rangers.

How hard was Vanwey throwing. I didn’t see the game but it looked like photons on the replay
